GF Linamar, a joint venture between GF Automotive and Linamar Corporation, inaugurated a new high-pressure die-casting facility in the US focusing on lightweight aluminium and magnesium solutions for the automotive industry.

GF Linamar, a joint venture between Georg Fischer and Linamar, won a $300 million contract to produce lightweight magnesium cross car beams for a new US pickup model. Production will start in 2020 at a new plant in Mills River, North Carolina, which will officially open in October 2017.

GF Linamar LLC, a joint venture between GF Automotive and Linamar Corp., is constructing a new light metal die-casting plant in Mills River, North Carolina. The initial investment is over $100 million, and the plant will create over 340 manufacturing jobs, with operations planned to start in mid-2017.
