Nu-Tech Precision Metals

Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. acquired Nu-Tech Precision Metals Inc., a custom manufacturer of specialty extruded metals and fabricated parts in Arnprior, Ontario. Nu-Tech had 2020 net sales of approximately $44 million.

Reliance Steel & Aluminum has acquired Merfish United, a master distributor of tubular building products, in one of its larger acquisitions.

Nu-Tech Precision Metals was awarded a $66 million contract to manufacture zirconium alloy pressure tubes for the first two of Bruce Power's Major Component Replacement projects.

Nu-Tech Precision Metals completed and began shipping pressure tubes for Ontario Power Generation's Darlington reactor refurbishment, under a subcontract from the SNC-Lavalin/Aecon Joint Venture. Manufacturing finished eight weeks ahead of schedule.
