Downer EDI

Downer EDI was awarded a six-year, USD 660 million underground mining services contract by Oz Minerals for the Carrapateena copper-gold project in South Australia. Work begins July 2018.

Downer EDI was awarded a $600 million three-year contract to provide mining services at BHP Billiton Mitsubishi Alliance's Blackwater coal mine in Queensland, including overburden removal, haulage, equipment maintenance, and drilling.

Gruyere JV, a 50:50 joint venture between Gold Road Resources and Gold Fields, signed a five-year A$400 million mining services contract with Downer EDI Ltd for the Gruyere gold project. The contract was announced on January 3, 2018.

Oz Minerals has awarded Downer EDI and Ausenco a $312 million contract for engineering, procurement and construction of a new minerals processing plant at the Carrapateena copper-gold mine in South Australia. Initial works worth $100 million will start under a limited notice period.

BGC won a $700 million contract in New South Wales, replacing a long-standing contract held by Downer EDI at a mine.

Downer EDI secured an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract and an operations and maintenance (O&M) contract valued at approximately $200 million for the 148MW Ross River Solar Farm in Queensland, Australia.
