Lotte Advanced Materials

LOTTE Chemical will merge with its subsidiary LOTTE Advanced Materials, aiming to complete the merger by January 2, 2020, to strengthen its specialty products portfolio.

Lotte Advanced Materials plans to expand combined capacity of the two acquired plants to 73,000 tonnes/year by 2019 and construct a new 300,000 tonnes/year ABS plant in Banten province by 2022.

Lotte Advanced Materials signed a deal to acquire full stakes in PT Arbe Styrindo and PT ABS Industri Indonesia, which produce ABS polymers and compound. The acquisition value was not disclosed. Lotte plans to ramp up production capacity to 73,000 tons per year and restart commercial production in 2019.

Foster Corp. won an exclusive North American healthcare market distribution deal for Lotte Advanced Materials' Starex ABS and Infino polycarbonate polymers, effective November 1, 2017.

Lotte Advanced Materials is building a 21,000-ton-per-year engineering plastics compounding plant in Nhon Trach, Dong Nai, Vietnam, to be completed in November 2017 and start commercial operation in January 2018.
