China Building Materials Corporation

China Shanshui Investment Company Limited, a major shareholder of Shanshui Cement, has invited Asia Cement, China Building Materials, and Tianrui International to submit takeover offers for its entire stake at HK$5.50 per share.

Sino Zimbabwe Cement has secured funding for a $50 million brick and tile manufacturing plant in Gweru, Zimbabwe. The project, a joint venture with the Industrial Development Corporation of Zimbabwe, is expected to create 200 jobs and produce 60 million bricks annually.
