Orthoplastics will open a new manufacturing facility in Rossendale, Lancashire, with over £5 million annual investment, creating around 100 jobs.

Viant, a global services provider to the medical device industry, acquired Meraqi Medical, a Silicon Valley-based design and development firm specializing in interventional technologies and bioelectronics. The acquisition expands Viant's capabilities in minimally invasive surgical devices and adds a West Coast D&D hub.

Integer Holdings Corporation agreed to sell its Advanced Surgical and Orthopedics product lines to Viant LLC for $600 million in cash. The transaction is expected to close in Q3 2018.

Viant announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Vention Medical's Device Manufacturing Services business. The acquisition will more than double Viant's size, expand its capabilities in assembly and packaging, and extend its global footprint to 22 manufacturing facilities.
