SK Materials and Showa Denko will establish a joint venture, SK Showadenko, to build an etching gas manufacturing facility in Yeongju, with first production of CH3F by the second half of 2018.

SK Materials will invest KRW 150.8 billion to expand its Yeongju plant by July 2018, adding 2,500 tonnes of NF3 capacity and creating 105 jobs. It will also establish a joint venture with Showa Denko to produce etching gas.
