Buckeye Power Sales acquired the generator sales, service, and rental division of Steiner Electric Co., becoming the Chicago metro area distributor for Kohler commercial products, with a new location in Romeoville, Illinois.

Kohler Power announced a significant capital expansion of home standby generator assembly at its existing manufacturing site in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to more than triple current capacity for residential standby generators.

Kohler Co. acquired Clarke Energy Ltd., a British firm specializing in engine-based power plants, with 1,100 employees and annual sales of about $350 million. The acquisition was announced on February 2, 2017.
