Panasonic Semiconductor Solutions

Rohm is acquiring part of Panasonic Semiconductor Solutions' diode and transistor business, covering bipolar transistors, JFETs, Schottky diodes, Zener diodes, and other products. Rohm will handle sales to Panasonic's customers after October 2019, with production outsourced to Panasonic during the transition.

TowerJazz and TPSCo signed a three-year agreement extension with Panasonic Semiconductor Solutions (PSCS) through 2022, under which PSCS will continue to utilize TPSCo's three manufacturing facilities in Japan.

Panasonic Semiconductor Solutions and United Microelectronics Corporation agreed to jointly develop a mass production process for next-generation 40nm ReRAM. Product samples are expected to ship in 2018.
