Precision Textiles has partnered with Unifi to use Repreve recycled polyester yarn to produce all its filler cloth products, becoming the first bedding component producer to use Repreve in nonwoven products.

Recycled fibre manufacturer Unifi has teamed up with textile innovator Hologenix to combine their Repreve and Celliant solutions.

Unifi Inc. announced that a definitive agreement could not be reached with Complast S.A. and Technologia Textil Avanzada to form a joint venture in Guatemala.

Unifi Inc. has signed a non-binding letter of intent to form a joint venture with the owners of Complast S.A. and Technologia Textil Avanzada in Guatemala. Unifi will own 51% of the JV, which will include bottle processing and polyester yarn manufacturing operations.

Eastman Chemical is expanding production capacity for Avra Performance Fibers at the Unifi Manufacturing plant in Yadkinville, NC. Construction is complete and startup of new lines is planned for January 2017.
