PENTAX Medical

PENTAX Medical, a division of HOYA Group, announced the establishment of an endoscope manufacturing, R&D and service center in Shanghai, China, under PENTAX Medical Shanghai Co., Ltd. The facility will produce endoscopic solutions for the China market.

PENTAX Medical (HOYA Group) and Jiangsu Vedkang Medical Science and Technology have formed a joint venture named PENTAX Medical Therapeutics (Jiangsu) to develop single-use flexible endoscopic therapeutic products. The JV will be headquartered in China.

PENTAX Medical (a HOYA Corporation business) and Vedkang established a joint venture in endoscopic therapeutics. No financial details were disclosed.

PENTAX Medical, a division of HOYA Group, acquired a controlling interest in PlasmaBiotics SAS, a Paris-based company that designs, manufactures and markets devices for drying and storage of endoscopes. The acquisition strengthens PENTAX Medical's hygiene portfolio.

PENTAX Medical, a division of HOYA Group, acquired C2 Therapeutics, developer of the C2 CryoBalloon Ablation System for endoscopic ablation of Barrett's esophagus. The acquisition amount was undisclosed.
