Mondial Group

Mondial announced the purchase of Sony's factory in the Manaus Free Trade Zone, including land, building and equipment. The company will start producing TVs, microwaves and air conditioners, hiring 420 new employees, with operations beginning in February 2021.

Mondial, a Brazilian small appliance manufacturer, is investing R$47 million to expand its factory in Conceição do Jacuípe, Bahia, to nationalize production of eight products previously made in China. The expansion will create 200 new jobs, adding to 215 already hired.

Mondial Group, an Italian manufacturer of refrigeration equipment, announced major downsizing with 110 jobs threatened at the Mirabello Monferrato plant and the closure of the Montemiletto plant in early December, resulting in 70 job losses.
