TWE Group and Obeetee Textiles have formed a strategic joint venture, TWE OBT, to manufacture nonwoven products for the health and hygiene sector in India. TWE has acquired a 50% shareholding in OTL, and the JV will invest in a new facility.

TWE Group GmbH acquired a 50% stake in Obeetee Textiles (OTL) to form a 50:50 joint venture, TWE OBT, which will set up a new facility in India to manufacture nonwoven products for the health and hygiene sector.

Indorama Ventures (IVL) has teamed up with Auping and TWE Group to create a circular mattress initiative. The collaboration involves designing fully circular mattresses using PET polyester and steel springs, with recycling through IVL Mullagh.

Vita Nonwovens celebrated the expansion of its Fort Wayne, Indiana facility with a 150,000-square-foot addition to house a new production line, adding 22 employees. The $18 million expansion will help meet growing demand.

TWE Bredaryd AB, formerly part of the German TWE Group, has been acquired and renamed Sporda Nonwoven, gaining Swedish owners. The company has a 77-year history in nonwoven fabrics.
