Gränges AB signed an agreement to acquire Polish flat-rolled aluminium producer Aluminium Konin from Boryszew Group for SEK 2.3 billion on a cash and debt-free basis. The acquisition adds a rolling mill in Konin, Poland with annual capacity of 100 ktonnes, and Gränges will complete a SEK 1.1 billion expansion to increase capacity to 140 ktonnes.

Impexmetal S.A. Aluminium Konin plans to invest over PLN 1 billion to build a new rolling mill with 200,000 tonnes capacity and a foundry with 300,000 tonnes capacity at its existing site in Konin, Poland. The first phase is expected to be completed by the first half of 2019, creating about 300 jobs.

Impexmetal will supply aluminum strips to Mahle Behr over three years, with a total value exceeding 340 million PLN net.
