China National Building Material (CNBM) signed a letter of intent to sell certain cement business assets to its subsidiary Tianshan Cement, with consideration in Tianshan Cement shares and/or cash. The assets include stakes in several cement companies.

United Utilities awarded a contract to build Europe's largest Nereda process plant at its Blackburn wastewater treatment works as part of a £100 million infrastructure upgrade. The plant will be delivered by construction partner LiMA and is expected to be fully operational in 2021.

United Utilities has signed a delivery contract with LiMA to upgrade its Kendal Wastewater Treatment Works using Nereda water purification technology from Royal HaskoningDHV. The plant will treat the equivalent of 93,000 people, becoming the largest Nereda plant in the UK.
