Talen Energy Corporation

ENGIE North America has acquired six mechanical services companies from Talen Energy Group, based in Pennsylvania, New York, and New England, employing 750 people. The acquisition provides ENGIE a platform to deliver mechanical contracting services in the Northeast US.

McClure Company and Burns Mechanical have been acquired from Talen Energy in a management-led private acquisition. The new holding company, McClure Burns Mechanical Holdings, LLC, was created for the transaction.

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission approved the transfer of operating licenses for both units at the Susquehanna nuclear power plant, the final regulatory approval for affiliates of Riverstone Holdings to acquire Talen Energy. The transaction is expected to close within 10 business days.
