SGL Group

Mitsubishi Rayon, through its subsidiary MRCFAC, plans to acquire all shares of SGL Carbon Fibers LLC in Evanston, Wyoming, from SGL Group. The acquisition will add 1,000 tonnes of annual carbon fiber capacity and is expected to close by April 2017.

SGL Automotive Carbon Fibers, a joint venture between BMW Group and SGL Group, broke ground on a $200 million site expansion in Moses Lake, Washington, to triple carbon fiber production capacity.
