Teleflex

Teleflex acquired Essential Medical, developer of the Manta vascular closure device, for an undisclosed amount. The deal expands Teleflex's presence in structural heart and endovascular aneurysm repair markets.

QT Vascular agreed to sell its intellectual property rights for non-drug coated coronary products and an option for a coated product to Teleflex for $98.4 million in cash, plus royalties and supply agreements.

Teleflex has agreed to acquire all outstanding shares of Pyng Medical for cash consideration of USD $0.30203 per share, representing a significant premium. The acquisition will be by way of a court-approved plan of arrangement.

Teleflex officially opened a €13.5 million expansion of its medical devices plant in Athlone, Ireland, consolidating local operations. The facility is kitted for 240 staff with potential to expand to 350; currently 207 employees work there.
