Massman Automation Designs plans to build a 75,000-square-foot facility in Alexandria, Minnesota, for building automated packaging machines, with a $16.3 million investment and creation of at least 10 jobs.

Massman Automation Designs, LLC acquired Ideal Pase, a liquid filling and packaging machine manufacturer based in Madison, Wisconsin. The acquisition aims to strengthen Massman's foothold in the liquid filling machine market.

Massman Automation Designs appointed Greg Gorski as Vice President and General Manager of EDL Massman in Green Bay, Wisconsin, to succeed founder Ken Carter upon his planned retirement.

Massman Automation Designs, LLC acquired EDL Packaging Engineers, Inc., a manufacturer of shrink wrappers and packaging equipment. The acquisition closed on October 31, 2016.
