HAHN Group has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in DAHL Automation, a German company specializing in collaborative lightweight robotics, to expand its cobot and intralogistics portfolio.

HAHN Group, a German automation firm, acquired REI Automation, a South Carolina-based industrial automation integrator focused on medical, electronics and consumer goods industries. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Hahn Group of Germany acquired the technology and intellectual property of Rethink Robotics, which had closed in October 2018, and relaunched the Sawyer robot and Intera5 software.

Invotec, a medical device automation company, expanded its international presence by opening a new 730 m² facility in Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany. The facility will provide assembly, test, and inspection solutions for medical device manufacturers.

The Hahn Group has acquired all patents, trademarks and the Intera5 software platform of Rethink Robotics, a US-based collaborative robot pioneer that recently closed. The deal value was not disclosed.
