Sheffield Forgemasters International Ltd installed the UK's largest five-axis vertical turning lathe (VTL) as part of a £6 million upgrade of its machining facilities in Sheffield, UK. The machine, manufactured by BOST and supplied by McDowell Machine Tools, will improve capacity for complex machining of components for defence, nuclear, and pressure-vessel markets.
