Kobelco Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. decided to expand production capacity of its hydraulic excavator factory in India from 2,000 to 3,000 units per year. A groundbreaking ceremony was held on March 20, 2018, and construction is expected to be completed by end of January 2019.

Kobelco Construction Equipment India broke ground for an additional plant at its Sri City facility to increase annual production capacity by 50% from 2000 units.

Kobelco Construction Equipment India is expanding its excavator plant in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, from 2,000 to 3,000 units per year over 18 months, with an additional investment of approximately ₹200 crore.
