Merck

Merck celebrated the topping-out of its new membrane factory in Darmstadt, an investment of more than €140 million that will produce Millipore Express membranes for sterile filters and create about 55 jobs. Construction is due to finish in 2022.

Corning will develop Corning Valor Glass with Merck and Pfizer, and is expected to expand its facilities and build a new glass plant with an estimated investment of $500 million. The location was not stated.
