LVD

LVD, a Belgian sheet metal working machinery manufacturer, has acquired Compac Srl of Urbino, Italy, an industrial automation solutions provider specializing in automatic warehouse systems and handling systems. The acquisition expands LVD's automation portfolio for laser-cutting machinery.

LVD has been awarded an order from Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) for a custom-built 1000-ton Synchro-Form press brake to produce large panels for commercial aircraft fuselage structures. The machine will be manufactured at LVD's facility in Belgium.
