Severstal selected Danieli Corus, Paul Wurth and TMT to design, supply, assemble and commission main machinery for blast furnace No. 3 at Cherepovets Iron and Steel Works. The investment is over 28 billion rubles. First deliveries are scheduled for Q1 2019.

Paul Wurth announced a contract to upgrade JSW Steel's blast furnace No. 3 at Vijayanagar Works in Toranagallu, Karnataka, India. The upgrade will increase the furnace's inner volume by 32% to about 5,300 m³, boosting annual crude steel production to about 4.5 million mt.
