IDC to sell controlling stake in Scaw's rolled products and wire rod businesses to BSP
The Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) has reached an agreement with the Barnes Southern Palace Consortium (BSP) to sell a controlling interest in Scaw Metals' rolled products and wire rod products businesses. BSP has applied for approval from South African competition authorities.

Scaw Metals invests R110M to expand McKinnon Chain factory in Vereeniging
Scaw Metals has invested R110 million to expand and modernise production of large diameter chain and masterlink components at its McKinnon Chain factory in Vereeniging, Gauteng. The investment raises capacity to 10,000 tons per year of chain and 2,000 tons per year of masterlinks.
