Liebherr and Leica Geosystems entered a strategic partnership to equip Liebherr generation 6 and 8 wheeled and crawler excavators with Leica 2D and 3D machine control solutions from factory.

Leica Geosystems announced a cooperation with Liebherr to integrate 2D and 3D machine control solutions for excavators, starting with Liebherr Wheeled and Crawler Excavators Generations 6 and 8.

Kobelco, Engcon and Leica Geosystems partnered to develop a new automatic tiltrotator function for Kobelco excavators. The ICT system will launch in spring 2019 in Japan, first integrated into SK200 and SK210-10 excavators.

Hangzhou Great Star Industrial Co., Ltd. completed the acquisition of Prim' Tools Limited from Leica Geosystems AG for €22.7 million in December 2016.

Leica Geosystems, part of Hexagon, acquired M&P Survey Equipment Limited, a UK distributor of Leica Geosystems products. The acquisition was completed in March 2016, and further investment has been made in equipment.
