Loews Corporation has agreed to sell a 47 percent stake in Altium Packaging to GIC, the Singapore sovereign wealth fund.

Loews Corporation signed a definitive agreement to sell a 47% interest in Altium Packaging, a North American rigid plastic packaging and recycled resin company, to Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC, with closing expected within 30 days.

Loews Corporation has agreed to acquire Consolidated Container Company, a rigid plastic packaging manufacturer, from Bain Capital Private Equity for approximately $1.2 billion, with closing expected in the second quarter of 2017.
