Hankook Precision Machinery (한국정밀기계) announced receipt of a 35% advance payment (2.73 billion won) for a CNC VTL supply contract with TEI worth 7.8 billion won. The contract period was corrected to end July 3, 2027, based on the advance payment receipt on November 4, 2026. The equipment will be supplied to Turkey.

Korea Precision Machinery has signed a contract worth KRW 7,800,390,000 (USD 5.65 million) to supply CNC VTL (vertical turning lathes) to TEI, a Turkish aerospace and defense engine parts manufacturer. The contract runs from August 25, 2026 to July 3, 2027.

Chinese-capital Kaishan Group officially opened its factory at İZBAŞ in the Izmir Free Zone, Türkiye, built on 20,000 square meters with a USD 20 million investment. It will make drilling equipment and compressors for geothermal power plants for domestic use and export.

Voith signed a contract with Turkish paper producer Aquakraft Kagit ve Ambalaj to comprehensively rebuild the paper machine and stock preparation at its PM 2 containerboard mill in Ferizli, about 170 km east of Istanbul. The rebuild is designed to raise production capacity by around 60 percent.

Chinese compressor maker Kaishan Group plans a $1 billion factory on a 20,000 square metre site in the İzmir Free Zone (İZBAŞ) to make compressors for geothermal and industrial plants, mainly for export. Groundbreaking was expected in Q1 2025, with completion within a year.

Toscotec will supply a full dryer section rebuild, including 37 TT SteelDryers, for containerboard machine PM3 at Hamburger Turkey's Çorlu mill, planned for end of 2024.

Atlas Copco Group acquired Hamamcıoğlu Makina (HAMAK), an Istanbul-based distributor of air compressors, parts and service with 23 employees. The purchase price was not disclosed. The business joins Atlas Copco's Compressor Technique Service Division.

Lupamat Compressor signed a partnership agreement with FS-Elliott, the American centrifugal air compressor maker based in Export, Pennsylvania, for developing industrial products in the Turkish market. The agreement was reported on February 27, 2023.

Atlas Copco has acquired Hamamcıoğlu Makina, a Turkey-based company that sells and services air compressor solutions, announced on 14 November 2023.

Starlinger will supply its recoSTAR PET 215 iV+ food-grade PET recycling system to Başatlı Boru Profil in Kocaeli Province, Turkey, with operation planned from April 2022. The system produces up to 2,400 kg of food-safe rPET per hour.

Valmet will supply an OCC line, three stock preparation lines and an OptiConcept M container board making line to Kıvanç Tekstil's mill in Adana, Turkey. Start-up of the new PM 1 is scheduled for Q4 2023; the order value was not disclosed.

Voith Paper won an order from Modern Karton to build and deliver a complete high-speed PM 6 paper machine for recovered corrugated containerboard base paper in Turkey. The line will produce up to 640,000 metric tons per year.

ANDRITZ received an order from MOPAK Kagit Karton to rebuild paper machine PM3 at its Dalaman mill, the first stage of a multi-stage project raising mill capacity to 500,000 t/a, with start-up scheduled for Q1 2021.

Koenig & Bauer agreed to take over 80 per cent of folder gluer maker Duran Machinery's business in Istanbul, integrating it as Koenig & Bauer Duran.
