ANDRITZ received an order from CH. Karnchang (Lao) to supply electro-mechanical equipment for the 1,470 MW Luang Prabang run-of-river hydropower plant, with commissioning scheduled for end-2029. The contract value is in the mid triple-digit million-euro range.

Valmet will deliver key technology for a new 250 kt/year greenfield dissolving pulp mill for Sun Paper at Muang Phin in Savanakhet province, Laos. Pulp production is targeted to start in Q2 2018, with an order value of around EUR 20 million.
