Energy Recovery has received contract awards totaling over $7 million to supply PX Pressure Exchanger devices and pumps for several seawater reverse osmosis desalination projects in Spain. Orders are expected to be fulfilled in 2025, and one project is a retrofit using the PX Q300.

ESPA Group, based in Banyoles, Spain, bought pump and pressure-set distributor Baico Pumps SL to expand its international reach and product range. Baico had annual sales of about EUR 4 million and exports to 18 countries.

Belgian company Teblick invested €4.3 million in a new 4,000 m² plant in El Far d'Empordà (Girona), relocating from Vilamalla in January 2024, with 15 workers and a planned gradual expansion.

SITRA won the contract to expand the industrial wastewater treatment plant serving a PET packaging recycling plant in Badajoz, Spain. The project includes a pilot ultrafiltration phase, later DAF and biological treatment upgrades, and five years of operation support.

The Spanish subsidiary of Veolia Water Technologies won a contract to design, install and commission a demineralized water plant at ArcelorMittal's Avilés steelworks, valued at 1.1 million euros. The plant is expected to start operating in February 2017.
