Ypsomed is investing in additional high-volume production lines at its Schwerin plant in Germany, including added capacity for the YpsoMate auto-injector. Equipment for the expansion has already been ordered and is being installed.

Dover has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Em-tec GmbH, a Finning, Germany-based maker of ultrasound flow measurement devices for medical and biopharma applications. Terms were not disclosed and closing is expected in Q2 2020.

SCHOTT started construction of a new plant in Müllheim, Germany, for sterile polymer pharmaceutical primary packaging such as prefillable syringes, on an 11,000 square meter site, with completion planned by 2022 and 100 new jobs.

B. Braun Melsungen opened a new dialyser production facility in Wilsdruff near Dresden, Germany, with over 100 million euros invested and 140 new jobs. The Free State of Saxony contributed 6 million euros.

Emerson Automation Solutions inaugurated a new production building in Ölbronn-Dürrn, Baden-Württemberg, its center of excellence for miniature valves for analytical and medical technology and industrial proportional valves. The building has a 720 square meter cleanroom and about 100 employees work there.

Emerson opened a new Asco production building in Ölbronn-Dürrn near Pforzheim on April 20, 2017. It houses a 720 m2 ISO class 8 cleanroom and is the center of excellence for miniature valves.
