LyondellBasell agreed to acquire Veolia Belgium's 50% share in Quality Circular Polymers, becoming sole owner of the plastic recycling joint venture with facilities in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Borealis has acquired a majority stake of 50.01% in Renasci, a chemical recycling provider in Ostend, to secure access to chemically recycled feedstock. Borealis had held a 10% stake since July 2021.

The SOMATER group has acquired ANL Packaging, a European thermoforming company based in Wellen, Belgium with more than 400 employees and plants in Belgium, France and Poland, effective 10 May 2022.

PACCOR signed a purchase agreement on 30 March 2021 to acquire Miko Pac, the packaging division of Belgian firm Miko N.V. Miko Pac makes plastic packaging at sites in Belgium, Poland and Indonesia, and completion is expected in Q2 2021 pending approval.

UNITED CAPS announced it will acquire the caps, closures and handles business of Dewit Plastics, including screw, tamper-evident and child-resistant closures. The acquired assets will be integrated into UNITED CAPS' plant in Hoboken, Belgium, with closing expected at the end of May 2017.

Bain Capital is buying Belgian PET preform specialist Resilux, alongside its acquisition of Petainer, with the businesses possibly being combined.
