LyondellBasell agreed to acquire Veolia Belgium's 50% share in Quality Circular Polymers, becoming sole owner of the plastic recycling joint venture with facilities in Belgium and the Netherlands.

Fost Plus has contracted Morssinkhof Plastics Belgium, part of Morssinkhof Rymoplast, to build a plastic packaging recycling plant in Lommel, Belgium, expected to be operational in October 2024 and recycling about 40,000 tonnes per year.

Borealis has acquired a majority stake of 50.01% in Renasci, a chemical recycling provider in Ostend, to secure access to chemically recycled feedstock. Borealis had held a 10% stake since July 2021.

TotalEnergies signed an agreement to purchase petrochemical feedstock from recycled mixed polyolefins produced by Indaver's Plastics2Chemicals plant, under construction and due to open in 2024. The feedstock will be processed into circular polymers for contact-sensitive packaging.
