Mitsubishi Power Americas announced a $490 million investment to expand its Savannah Machinery Works in Pooler, Georgia, adding 450,000 square feet and over 220 jobs to double production capacity of gas and steam turbines, with potential completion by early 2029.
Baker Hughes' Masoneilan valves unit won a contract to supply 21000 and 41000 globe control valves for the Advanced Clean Energy Storage hydrogen project in Delta, Utah, which supports an 840 MW hydrogen-blend gas turbine plant. The project is being built by Mitsubishi Power Americas and Magnum Development.
