Ambev plans a glass bottle factory in Carambeí, Paraná, with an investment of R$870 million, near its Ponta Grossa brewery. Operations are planned to start in the last four months of 2025.

Ambev plans a new sustainable container glass plant in Carambei, Parana, Brazil, with an investment of 870 million reais ($154m) using recycled glass. HORN Glass Industries is the contractor, and operations are expected from 2025.

HORN has been contracted by Ambev to supply and build a third 400 tpd container glass furnace at a new plant in Carambeí, Paraná, Brazil. HORN acts as turn-key supplier including refractory materials, steel construction, and commissioning.

Avantium signed an offtake agreement under which AmBev, part of AB InBev, will buy PEF from Avantium's FDCA Flagship Plant in Delfzijl, Netherlands, to make soft drink bottles. The agreement was announced on 2022-08-17.
