Krones signed an agreement on 20 April 2023 to acquire 90% of Ampco Pumps Company LLC, a Wisconsin supplier of sanitary pumps and mixing equipment to food, beverage, dairy and pharma markets. Ampco generated about US$50 million revenue in fiscal 2022, and closing is expected in the first half of 2023.
Ampco Pumps broke ground on a 17,000 square foot addition to its Glendale, Wisconsin manufacturing facility, including a new lab for its Applied Products division and expanded pump assembly areas.
