Heidelberg Materials completed a share transfer on June 18, 2026, increasing its stake in Turkish building materials company Akçansa to 79.44%, becoming the majority shareholder. A new management structure was appointed.

Heidelberg Materials has agreed to acquire an additional 39.72% stake in Akçansa from Sabanci Holding, increasing its ownership from 39.72% to 79.44%. Akçansa operates three cement plants, 26 ready-mixed concrete plants, five aggregate quarries, and five cement terminals in Turkey.
