Burckhardt Compression won a contract from Joule Processing and Plug Power to deliver 12 large hydrogen refrigeration compressors for six hydrogen liquefaction plants in the USA, which will together liquefy 180 tons of hydrogen per day.
Plug Power acquired Joule Processing LLC, an engineered cryogenic process equipment provider, for a total consideration of up to $160 million, including $30 million upfront. The technology is to be used in hydrogen liquefaction plants.
