Comer Industries agreed to acquire a majority of Nabtesco's hydraulic equipment unit through a newco it will hold 70% of, for around EUR 85 million. Closing is expected by the end of Q4 2025, subject to approvals.
Nabtesco has decided on the basic schedule for a new precision reducer factory on land acquired in 2020 in Hamamatsu, Japan, with construction starting in autumn 2022 and the building finished by September 2023. Total investment through 2026 is about JPY 47 billion, and annual capacity is planned to reach 2 million units by 2026.
