Cullen Eco-Friendly Packaging completed a £4.2 million extension of its Glasgow plant in Kelvindale to add energy-efficient machinery, creating 34 new jobs. The extension was officially opened in June 2023.
Glasgow-based Cullen Eco-Friendly Packaging announced plans to increase production to one billion plastic-free moulded fibre and corrugated packaging units per year, building its own patented machines and tooling amid rising demand.
Cullen Eco-Friendly Packaging is investing £15m in a new innovation and design hub and an additional factory at its expanded Glasgow site. The expansion will create more than 120 jobs and double output to over one billion pieces per year.
Cullen Eco-Friendly Packaging secured planning permission to build a second factory on its Glasgow site, scheduled for summer 2023, raising annual output to about 900 million moulded pulp and corrugated packaging pieces.
