Thailand's SCG Packaging (SCGP) agreed to acquire a 70% stake in offset folding carton producer Starprint Vietnam through its Singapore subsidiary, at an estimated value of VND676.08bn ($27.73m). The plant operates in the Long Binh Industrial Zone in Dong Nai, Vietnam.

SCGP to acquire 70% of Vietnam carton packaging maker Starprint Vietnam
SCG Packaging's board approved buying a 70% stake in Starprint Vietnam JSC, an offset folding carton maker in Dong Nai, Vietnam, for up to 1,050 billion dong (about 1.5 billion baht). Flexible packaging maker Starflex will take 25% of the vehicle after the deal, which is expected to close in Q3 2023.
