BAE Systems, Leonardo, and Japan Aircraft Industrial Enhancement Co Ltd agreed to form a joint venture (each holding 33.3%) to design, develop, and deliver the next-generation combat aircraft under the Global Combat Air Programme.

BAE Systems, Leonardo and Japan Aircraft Industrial Enhancement Co Ltd (JAIEC) reached an agreement to form a joint venture for the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), each holding a 33.3% share. The JV will design, develop and deliver the next generation combat aircraft.
