Hebei Jinxi Iron and Steel Group

Hebei Jinxi Iron and Steel Group placed an order with Primetals Technologies for two continuous slab casters, each with a capacity of 2.5 million tons per year, including a digitalization package. The casters will be installed at Jinxi Steel's plant near Tangshan, Hebei province, with startup scheduled for the end of 2026.

China Oriental Group and ArcelorMittal will jointly build two flat steel plants in China. The first plant will have a hot strip mill with 2.5 million mt annual HRC capacity, potentially expanding to 3.5 million mt. The second plant will produce 1.5 million mt of electrical sheets, potentially expanding to 1.8 million mt.
