Kioxia Corporation and Sandisk Corporation announced the start of operation of Fab2 (K2) at the Kitakami Plant in Iwate Prefecture, Japan. The facility can produce eighth-generation 218-layer 3D flash memory, with meaningful output expected in the first half of 2026.
