Sims Limited and Alter Steel entered into a non-binding MOU for Sims to exclusively supply up to 550,000 tonnes of ferrous scrap annually to Alter's proposed electric arc furnace steel mill in Pinkenba, Queensland, planned for 2028.

Sims Ltd. has entered into a binding agreement to sell its U.K. Metal business to Unimetals Group Ltd. for approximately £195 million ($250 million), including 28 facilities and four shredders.
