Toyo Engineering India Private Limited has been awarded a contract by Styrenix Performance Materials Limited for engineering consultancy services for the brownfield expansion of a new HIPS line at Dahej, Gujarat. The expansion aims to increase overall polystyrene capacity to 150 KT per annum.

Styrenix Performance Materials awarded a contract to Toyo Engineering India for engineering consultancy for a brownfield expansion of a new HIPS line at Dahej, increasing polystyrene capacity to 150 KT per annum.

Styrenix Performance Materials (SPM) plans to invest Rs6.5bn ($78m) to expand ABS capacity to 210,000 t/y from 85,000 t/y and PS capacity to 150,000 t/y from 66,000 t/y at its Dahej and Nandesari sites in Gujarat, India. Operations are expected to begin before 2028.
