Asahi Beverages has unveiled a new $60 million canning line at its Yatala brewery in Queensland, able to produce up to 400 million cans a year and adding 27 net full-time jobs.
The Circular Plastics Australia joint venture officially opened its A$45 million PET recycling plant in Albury-Wodonga on 11 March 2022, backed by up to A$16.5 million in CEFC debt finance. The plant recycles about 30,000 tonnes of PET a year and employs about 40 people.
Pact Group, Cleanaway Waste Management and Asahi Beverages formed a joint venture to build a A$45 million PET plastic recycling plant at the Nexus Precinct in Albury/Wodonga, NSW, expected to be operational by December 2021.
