Sinopec to buy 30% stake in Kazakhstan polyethylene project
Sinopec has agreed to acquire a 30% equity stake in KazMunayGas's polyethylene plant project in the Atyrau region of Kazakhstan, with an annual capacity of 1.25 million tons. The transaction is expected to close by Q1 2024.

KazMunayGas and Univation sign license agreement for polyethylene unit
KazMunayGas (KMG) and Univation Technologies have signed a licensing agreement for a second polymerization unit with an annual capacity of 625,000 tonnes of polyethylene, using Univation's UNIPOL PE Process, for a new polyethylene plant in Atyrau region, Kazakhstan.
