Ekki Homa, the joint venture of Ekki Group and Homa Pumpenfabrik, inaugurated an expanded Coimbatore plant with enhanced pump and motor manufacturing, automated testing and digital assembly to scale sewage pump production.
EKKI group and German pump company Homa group signed an MoU for a joint venture to set up a pump manufacturing facility in Coimbatore, with Homa holding 50 percent. Homa plans to invest nearly Rs 150 crore, and the factory would create about 100 jobs.
Germany's Homa Pumpenfabrik and India's Ekki Group signed a 50:50 joint venture to make waste water pumps, with a plant planned in Coimbatore expected to be commissioned in about a year. Homa's Indian sales arm will merge into the venture.
Coimbatore-based pump maker EKKI Group has completed the acquisition and integration of Deccan Pumps Private Ltd, a maker of sump submersibles, monoblocs and surface pumps.
